Its normal to do a mistake once because only then it could be talked about. Once criticized the probability of doing is second time decreases. Third time looks bleak and fourth would be done by an insane only. But then there are exceptional cases which do not even accept of doing it once even after 5 times. It is always hard to find exceptions but not in India, BCCI and the working committee of IPL are some good examples. We had 5th edition of so called IPL this year. I am not sure I here stands for India or International. Anyways, this vulgar celebration of wealth, power and glamour has already shown its true color. The after match parties which were already in the news since last edition has once again made the headlines. Molestation charges, Brawls outside grounds even after match is finished and young talents who have not seen much in international cricket are already charged with spot fixing are some of the highlights of this year's edition. Yes, we already had some outstanding performances like Gayle's Match-Sixing and Rohit Sharma's classy century. But surprisingly both of them rarely represent their country. And I thought Indian's searching talent through IPL. Yeah we had some of them loosing their confidence and thus their career. Murli Vijay, Yusuf Pathan, Ashwin, Piyush Chawla, Amit Mishra are some names whom we were expecting to be future of Indian cricket. But they have already been written off in this mad drama of 3 hours played on cricketing turf. It would be interesting to watch out for Indian performance in this year's T20 world cup. We did managed a T20 glory in 2007 but that was pre IPL era. This years T20 world cup performance would like the yearly results for any organization when they work round the year for a better looking balance sheet. I know that this years IPL has again ascended the popularity charts but is it okay to commercialize a sport which is almost worshiped in Indian to this extent. No one, no one is realizing the impact of IPL on Indian and world cricket. By no means you could compare this with EPL or English county cricket. English county cricket is their domestic circuit while ours' was Ranji and hardly anyone talks about it.
